As a Critical Care Nurse, the role involves monitoring critically ill and unstable patients following major injury, surgery, or life-threatening disease, while assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care to ensure patient comfort. Responsibilities also include anticipating patient and family needs, guiding support personnel, maintaining equipment knowledge, and initiating emergency support measures like CPR.
Candidates must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in the state and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within five months of hire.
