The Vascular Surgeon will evaluate and manage patients with arterial, venous, and lymphatic vascular diseases, performing both open and endovascular surgical procedures. This role also includes providing inpatient care, outpatient clinic services, and participating in necessary call coverage.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO from an accredited medical school and complete an accredited Vascular Surgery residency or fellowship. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery and eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state.
A healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical and endovascular care for patients with arterial, venous, and lymphatic vascular diseases. This role involves the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of complex vascular conditions using both open and minimally invasive techniques, with an emphasis on evidence-based, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with arterial, venous, and lymphatic vascular disease Perform open and endovascular surgical procedures within scope of practice Diagnose and treat conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, carotid disease, aortic aneurysms, and venous disorders Provide elective and emergency vascular surgical care Interpret diagnostic imaging, noninvasive vascular studies, and related test results Develop and implement individualized treatment and surgical plans Provide inpatient care, outpatient clinic services, and consultative coverage Participate in vascular surgery call coverage as required by the practice model Collaborate with interventional radiology, cardiology, primary care, and surgical teams Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and postoperative care Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and surgical outcomes initiatives Practice Setting Hospital-based surgical practice with outpatient clinic responsibilities Practice environments include operating rooms, endovascular suites, and vascular laboratories Schedule and call responsibilities vary based on organizational structure Patient Population Adult patients with acute and chronic vascular conditions Elective and emergent surgical cases Work Environment Surgical and outpatient clinical settings within a multidisciplinary care model Focus on complex care delivery, procedural excellence, and continuous quality improvement
