The Medical Assistant acts as a crucial liaison between the patient, provider, and care team, primarily by coordinating patient flow through clinical data collection, intake assistance, and ensuring necessary information is ready for the provider. Key duties include performing clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, assisting with treatments, administering medications/vaccines, and supporting front desk operations like registration and check-out.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, with PEARS certification required within 90 days of starting. Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and holding a recognized certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA) are preferred.
