The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Saville Center plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care focused on cancer prevention, screening, and risk reduction.
The APP works in close collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive clinical assessments, coordinate care, and support patients across the continuum from initial evaluation through long-term follow-up.

Provider (APP)
Responsibilities: Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories, risk evaluations, and physical examinations related to cancer screening and prevention. Coordinates and manages care for patients undergoing cancer screening and risk assessment, including those with genetic predispositions or environmental exposures. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies and screening tests in alignment with evidence-based guidelines. Ensures accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of all patient encounters, referrals, lab follow-up, and communications within the electronic medical record. Provides patient and family education regarding cancer prevention, screening recommendations, and risk-reduction strategies. Collaborates closely with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care and optimal patient outcomes. Participates in clinical research initiatives, including enrollment of patients in cancer screening trials and programs. Monitors patient progress longitudinally, ensuring appropriate follow-up, tracking results, and adjusting care plans as needed. Supports community engagement and outreach initiatives, including participation in programmatic events. Serves as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff and other team members.
