The Hospitalist will function as an independent healthcare provider within a multidisciplinary team, responsible for comprehensive care to post-surgical patients in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient health status, educating patients and families, ensuring continuity of care, and supporting research based on national standards of care.
Candidates must be a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current licensure in Idaho and a Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Medical Program. Required certifications include proof of BLS upon hire, with the ability to achieve ACLS certification within six months, and five years of experience is highly preferred.

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Post Surgical Unit as our newest Hospitalist!
This part-time position will be night shift and benefit eligible!
As a hospitalist, you will function as an independent healthcare provider who, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in an inpatient setting. You will use your clinical expertise in working with the patient population in the specified specialty.
In this role you will use the scientific process and national standards of care as a framework for managing patient care. You will make an assessments of post-surgical patient’s health status, educate patient and/or patient’s family, provide continuity of competent care, and you will support research that supports evidence-based practice specific to your patient population focus, as well as in the areas of pharmacology, disease prevention, epidemiology, medical technology and more.
