The radiologic technologist performs diagnostic examinations, prepares patients, and ensures compliance with radiation safety regulations to protect all personnel and patients. This role involves operating imaging equipment, evaluating image quality, and accurately recording and maintaining patient data and treatment records.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED and be registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), passing boards within six months if eligible. Essential qualifications include current BLS certification, proficient computer skills, strong organizational and communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently.
