The primary function of the Surgical Technician is the preparation of sterile equipment, instruments, and supplies for the surgery and endoscopy departments. Additionally, the technician will perform the duties of a scrub technician during assigned operative procedures.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred for this role. Graduation from a scrub tech program and certification are also preferred qualifications.
