The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye care services, including routine exams, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular conditions, while collaborating closely with primary care providers as part of an integrated care team. Key duties involve prescribing corrective lenses, developing treatment plans, providing emergency eye care when necessary, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of optometry and hold an active Maine Optometrist license or be eligible to obtain one, along with current CPR certification. Experience in rural or community-based care is preferred, alongside strong clinical and communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
