• Job Title: Instrumentation Coordinator - Sterile Supply - Powell Department: Ambulatory Services | OCNA Central Sterile POSITION SUMMARY The Instrumentation Coordinator oversees the coordination of daily activities between the Operating Room (OR) and Central Sterile Processing to ensure efficient surgical case flow.
• This includes cart assembly, decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and high-level disinfection.
• The role is also responsible for assisting with projects, process improvements, and fostering effective communication between the OR and multiple sterile processing departments across the Health System.
• The Instrumentation Coordinator builds case carts according to surgeon preference cards and ensures all required surgical instruments are available and properly maintained.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in sterile processing or as a Surgical Technologist.

Certification

Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification through The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
