The Instrumentation Coordinator manages daily coordination between the Operating Room and Central Sterile Processing to ensure smooth surgical case flow, which includes overseeing cart assembly, decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and high-level disinfection. This role also involves assisting with projects, driving process improvements, and maintaining clear communication across multiple sterile processing departments.
Candidates must possess a High school diploma or GED and have a minimum of one year of relevant experience in sterile processing or as a Surgical Technologist. Required certification includes HSPA or CSPDT certification from CBSPD.
Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification through The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
