The Dual Registered Technologist performs high-quality Radiology and CT/Mammo/MRI examinations on diverse patient populations according to established protocols for physician interpretation. This involves accurately positioning patients, operating imaging equipment while adhering to radiation safety guidelines, and providing radiographic support throughout the hospital as needed.
Candidates must possess an Associate’s Degree or equivalent and have 2 years of relevant work experience, including graduation from an AMA-approved school or equivalent training. Required credentials include registration by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists, licensure by the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association, and certification in the specific modality area post-radiology certification.
