The role involves conducting thorough physical assessments, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia in long-term care settings. Responsibilities also include developing individualized treatment plans, prescribing necessary medications and therapies, and educating patients and families on disease management.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility and hold an active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license along with a DEA License and CPR/BCLS/BLS certification. A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required, with preferred experience in Pulmonology or respiratory care.
