The Pediatric Pharmacist prepares and dispenses medications to patients, assesses the appropriateness of physician medication orders, and provides accurate drug information to healthcare professionals. This role also coordinates or performs compounding and dispensing procedures while providing care to patients of varying ages.
Candidates must have a graduation degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy and must obtain a Texas Pharmacy license (or be eligible within 6 months for recent graduates). Required certifications include ACPE Sterile Compounding Certification, PALS, ACLS, and BLS within six months of hire or job description signing.
