The Sonographer performs diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation. Responsibilities include setting up and adjusting equipment, implementing safety standards, performing routine and complex studies, and ensuring prompt submission of high-quality images to PACS.
Candidates must complete a Sonography program and possess required professional licenses/certifications such as RDMS (Abdomen or OB/GYN), RVS, or RVT, along with Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification. The role requires constant standing/walking, frequent use of vision and hearing, and the ability to frequently lift/move patients and objects up to 25 lbs.
