The technologist performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures for clinical and research patients while participating as a member of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe patient care delivery. Responsibilities include operating technical equipment, updating electronic medical records, providing patient history to physicians, and assisting with contrast media administration.
Candidates must successfully complete an ARRT-approved educational program and possess certification from ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, along with Basic Life Support certification within 30 days. Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree and six months of supervised clinical experience in MRI, especially in pediatrics.
