The technician coordinates daily workflow, performs compounding, repackages medications, and accurately fills orders, floor stock, and fill lists under pharmacist supervision. Essential duties also include preparing IV admixtures using aseptic technique, handling chemotherapy, and managing controlled substances according to regulations.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with at least one year of experience in pharmacy or a technician equivalent role. Candidates must possess a Registered Pharmacy Technician license (or Pharmacist Intern) and Basic Life Support certification upon hire.

Work requires ability perform math reasoning. Work requires attention to detail, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and practices. Work requires English skills (speaking, reading, writing). Good general health and stress coping ability. Moderate physical effort: prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs), reaching, bending, crouching, etc. OSHA Category III. Work requires good oral and written communication skills. Work requires knowledge of metric and apothecary systems and ability to utilize basic pharmacy equipment. Work requires telephone and personal contact with various levels of internal and external personnel and organizations.
