Licensed Practical Nurse, OP - OB/GYN (Farrell, PA)

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support their Magee Women's Specialty - Horizon office in Farrell, PA! We are a busy OB/GYN office seeking a dedicated LPN to support comprehensive women’s health services, including prenatal care, routine exams, and patient education. This position will work Monday through Friday, 8

00am to 4:30pm, with no evenings, weekends, or holidays! This position will be responsible for Telephone triage, results, giving injections, and NOB intakes.

The ideal candidate will have good organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy, fast-paced practice.

Responsibilities

Draw blood. Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip. Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight. Comply with all policies and procedures. Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse. Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record. Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
