The Certified Nursing Assistant is a key member of the nursing team, responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility according to their individualized care plans. This role also involves observing and reporting changes in residents' conditions while promoting their independence, dignity, and safety within a designated care setting.
Applicants must hold an active and in-good-standing certification on the Maine CNA Registry and possess proficiency in both spoken and written English, along with basic computer skills. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to work professionally and harmoniously with colleagues, residents, and families, exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
Description Join Our Care Team We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. CNAs are assigned to a specific care area, which may include memory care, long-term care, or skilled nursing, depending on the position.
The CNA is a valued member of the nursing team responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities and providing routine nursing care in accordance with each resident’s individualized care plan. This role supports residents in a designated care setting while promoting dignity, comfort, and safety.
Key Responsibilities Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Deliver care in accordance with individualized care plans and established nursing standards Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or cognitive condition to the nursing team Support residents’ independence, preferences, and dignity while maintaining safety Assist with positioning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques Communicate effectively with nurses, team members, residents, and families Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Document care provided according to facility policies Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols
Active and in-good-standing certification on the Maine CNA Registry Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Proficiency in spoken and written English Basic computer skills Shifts Available: Full-Time or Part-Time positions available. Most positions require every other weekend.
