The Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse performs patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a physician. They are also responsible for clerical duties when necessary to ensure departmental operations and efficiency.
Candidates must possess either a CMA certification from an accredited program or a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN program, along with current state licensure and BLS/CPR certification. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides clinical support under physician supervision. The role delivers direct and indirect patient care, applies established clinical principles and professional standards, and supports the efficient operation of the practice through both clinical and clerical duties as assigned.
