The role involves performing patient assessments, assigning diagnoses based on data and current research, and establishing and implementing plans of care according to established protocols and standards. Providers will also offer education and counseling to patients, their families, and groups.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program, along with current Illinois licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. A minimum of two years of experience as an APP in primary care or a related field is preferred, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
