The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for executing the care plan designed by the Physical Therapist, which includes assisting during evaluations and monitoring resident progress. Key duties also involve maintaining thorough documentation of resident activities, progress, and billing activities.
The successful candidate must carry out the care plan under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist or Therapy Program Manager, depending on task complexity and patient condition. Essential functions include assisting with evaluations, monitoring progress, documentation, performing home assessments for discharge, and conducting admission/periodic screenings as directed.
Westminster Communities of Florida is currently seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the care plan as designed by the Physical Therapist or Therapy Program Manager. With direct supervision from the Program Manager or Therapist for each patient/resident assigned to the Physical Therapist and is dependent on the nature of the skilled tasks and the complexities of the patients/residents presenting condition. May receive clinical supervision from Therapists.
