The Respiratory Therapy Student performs various duties under the direction of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist, focusing on patient care tasks as permitted by state law. Responsibilities also include managing and maintaining respiratory equipment, ensuring adequate supplies, and assisting with various medical procedures.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in good standing in a CoARC or successor Respiratory Care Program at a college or university. Applicants are required to maintain current BLS/Healthcare provider certifications and proof of continued enrollment throughout the program.

Position SummaryThe Respiratory Therapy Student is responsible for performing multiple duties, including, but not limited to, patient care duties and additional duties that require expertise in the assembly, transport, disinfection, calibration, and troubleshooting of respiratory-related equipment. The Respiratory Therapy Student works under the direction of a Licensed Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapy Student is responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of equipment in various respiratory work areas and assisting the Respiratory Therapists and physicians with various procedures and tasks, as directed.
