The pharmacy technician primarily assists the registered pharmacist in dispensing prescription medications and Durable Medical Equipment (DME), while also identifying and supporting patients in accessing financial assistance programs for their prescriptions. Essential functions involve accurately inputting patient and prescription data into the pharmacy software, preparing medications for verification, managing inventory, and providing customer service.
Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, along with any combination of experience and training equivalent to the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. Candidates must possess Montana Pharmacy Technician certification and certification through the Institute for Certified Pharmacy Technicians.

RiverStone Health Pharmacy is conveniently located inside of our Clinic, which enables customers to get medications immediately after a medical appointment without having to go to another location. Our pharmacy staff is also trained to assist patients with access to medications utilizing various organizations, community and manufacturer-sponsored programs.
The purpose of the pharmacy technician is to assist the registered pharmacist to dispense prescription medications and DME, identify patients in need of financial assistance and determine what assistance is available to them and support patients in accessing prescribed medications. The Pharmacy Technician works in a retail pharmacy primarily serving a federally qualified health center.

• Involves regular contacts with the public in-person and on the phone to provide readily available information. May involve contact with upset or unreasonable individuals. Responds to questions, complaints, and comments in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
