The therapist must maintain a high standard of care by employing Evidence Based Practice and fostering positive relationships with facilities and patients.
Candidates must be a graduate of an AOTA-accredited occupational therapy school and be CPR certified with a valid driver's license. Preferred qualifications include at least two years of experience in custom splinting for pre/post-operative orthopedics and two years in adult rehabilitation, with hand and splinting experience being preferred.
Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management. High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception). Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge. Relationship-Building: Maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.
