The Respiratory Care Practitioner I administers respiratory care to acutely ill patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and treatment. They monitor patient conditions, educate families, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited respiratory therapy program and hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. An active or pending Illinois Respiratory Care License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are also required.
