The Clinical Pharmacist monitors medication usage to ensure safety, effectiveness, and cost efficiency while contributing to optimal participant outcomes. They also serve as a drug information resource for medical and nursing teams, evaluating medication regimens and making clinical interventions as necessary.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and current State Board of Pharmacy license are required. Candidates must also have knowledge of medications and the ability to advise on potential problems, with Board Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy preferred within 30 months of hire.
