The optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye exams, establish long-term patient relationships through proper care and education, and advise patients on options for correcting ametropias, systemic/ocular diseases, and visual needs. They must also clearly communicate lens recommendations to opticians and sales staff.
Candidates must possess a Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution and must have successfully passed all required state optometric board examinations. The role requires practicing to the full capacity of the license while supporting practice growth.
