The Certified Medical Assistant will perform delegated clinical and administrative duties in accordance with their training and experience. They will assist in the delivery of healthcare and provide patient care support activities as directed by the physician/provider.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and complete a Medical Assistant training program or have equivalent experience. Current certification from an approved certifying agency is required.
The Certified Medical Assistant will perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training, and experience. May work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical support, assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities at the direction of the physician/provider. Performs the duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
Experience: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent, previous experience with electronic health records or phlebotomy. Licensure/ Certification: If working in the Rural Health Clinic setting, will be required to have BLS through the American Heart Association. OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
