Collect blood and non-blood specimens from patients using various techniques while ensuring accurate identification and data entry. Transport specimens safely and adhere to hospital safety and infection control protocols.
A high school diploma is required, while certification from a phlebotomy or medical assistant program is preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of medical terminology and be able to pass New York state mandated clearances.
