The Ophthalmic Assistant supports ophthalmologists by preparing patients for examinations and performing routine clinical screening tests. They are also responsible for documenting patient information and maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience providing direct care under an ophthalmologist. Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds are required.
