The Residential Counselor provides individual and group counseling, facilitates skills building sessions, and conducts drug and alcohol education classes. They are also responsible for implementing program activities and providing direct supervision to residential clients.
Candidates should possess a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) certification or an advanced clinical degree in human services. Two years of direct work experience in substance use disorder treatment is preferred, along with strong clinical documentation and communication skills.
The Salvation Army Addiction Treatment Services (ATS) is seeking to fill a full-time Residential Substance Use Disorder Counselor position. Under the direct supervision of the Residential Clinical Supervisor, the Residential Counselor will provide residential clients with individual counseling for personal development, and conduct addiction group counseling, skills building sessions and alcohol/drug education classes. The Residential Counselor shall implement residential program activities and provide supervision of residents.
