In this role, you will help individuals build the skills, strategies, and confidence needed to live independently and safely. This is a highly rewarding, community-based position where you’ll work one-on-one with clients in their homes and local environments. No prior vision rehab experience required—we provide training. What You’ll Do Conduct functional vision assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Help clients build compensatory strategies for daily living
Train clients in: Personal care and home management Communication techniques Assistive technology and low vision devices Travel and mobility-related skills Perform home safety assessments and recommend environmental modifications Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation for clinical and billing purposes Collaborate with optometrists, ophthalmologists, and care teams Provide education and outreach on living independently with vision loss Manage your own schedule efficiently, including geographic planning of visits
