The Patient Care Technician performs technical tasks and bedside functions, including direct patient care, phlebotomy, and EKG procedures. They also monitor physiological parameters, assist with treatments, and maintain patient safety under the coordination of a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED and hold a valid American Heart Association BLS certification. Depending on the career ladder level, between one to four years of patient care experience is required.
This position is part of a career ladder and hiring level determined by Recruitment. Level I: Preferred experience: PCT training or CNA training preferred Level II: Required Work Experience: At least one year of patient care experience (this experience can vary in level of long-term care, specialty, acute care, etc.).
