The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will provide advanced clinical pharmacy services and ensure cost-effective medication management for patients within the correctional health team. They will also participate in multi-disciplinary rounds, deliver direct patient care, and educate healthcare staff and students.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Additionally, applicants are required to have at least three years of clinical pharmacy experience or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency, along with BPS and ACPE IV Sterile certifications.

Harris Health System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (Infectious Diseases) to join the Correctional Health team. In this role, you will provide advanced clinical pharmacy services, ensuring optimal and cost-effective medication management for patients. You will participate in multi-disciplinary rounds, deliver direct patient care, and support clinical initiatives. This role also includes educating pharmacists, technicians, and healthcare providers, as well as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy interns, technicians, and residents.
