The pharmacist is responsible for screening and dispensing medications while ensuring clinical appropriateness and safety for patients. They also provide leadership for the pharmacy workflow, supervise staff, and maintain compliance with 340B policies.
Candidates must hold a pharmacy degree and possess active pharmacist and controlled substance credentials in Michigan. One to three years of experience in a hospital or retail setting is preferred.
This position screens physician orders to ensure the correct medications are given to individual patients that range in age from birth to 100+ years assuring that the most correct drug and dose is prescribed, dispensed, administered, and properly monitored. Screens orders for proper drug / dosage, drug interaction, adverse reactions, allergies, and contraindications. Research and answers drug information questions and provides various clinical pharmacy services.
