The counselor is responsible for conducting client intakes, assessments, and crisis interventions while developing and reviewing individualized treatment plans. They will also facilitate group therapy sessions, provide family education, and maintain accurate documentation of client progress.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field and possess at least two years of full-time experience in substance abuse treatment. Additionally, professional certification such as CADC, LPC, or LCSW and CPR/First Aid certification are required.
The Salvation Army Midtown Service and Treatment Center is looking for a Substance Abuse Counselor. This individual will be responsible for counseling clients, conducting intakes, assessments, crisis intervention, developing treatment plans, ongoing follow up counseling and treatment plan reviews, developing safety plans, group therapy, and education and facilitating referrals.
This is a full-time, exempt position, pay is based on experience.
