The Physician Assistant will support surgeons in both the operating room and clinical settings, managing patient care across inpatient and outpatient environments. Responsibilities include conducting pre-operative and post-operative assessments, planning treatments, and providing patient education.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold a valid Texas license and PA certification. A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is required.
· Full time schedule Monday-Friday with shared call. · Support General, Colorectal, Foregut & HPB surgeons with both OR assist and clinical · Full Benefits Package including health, life, vision, dental, 401K, CME and malpractice · Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments · Manage patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings · Provide education and counseling to patients and their families · Plan treatment and document using EPIC EMR REQURIMENTS: · Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. · PA Certification and Texas license required.
The Physician Assistant (“PA”) will be licensed as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times. Master's degree Physician Assistant required. The PA will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure. The PA’s duties and responsibilities apply to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only.
