Reviews preferences and verifies the case cart thoroughly before the procedure.
Maintains an orderly surgical field and consistently passesinstruments and supplies quickly and efficiently to the surgeon.
Anticipates and prioritizesthe needs ofthe varioussteps associated with the procedure.
Takes part in sponge, needle, and instrument counts as dictated by the procedure.

Maintainssurgicalspecimens in a manner that identifies and preserves them for pathology evaluation.
Assists in ordering and stocking specialty supplies under the direction of management staff and in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Transports and delivers items, equipment, and medications (excluding controlled substances and IV chemotherapy drugs) throughout the facility.
May have limited accessto areas where medications are stored.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions

Qualifications
Education/Training High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of
Surgical Technology training program; or
Orlando Health Training Program; or
An accredited physician assistant program Licensure/Certification Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification. Experience Must have 1 year.
