The LPN/MA will perform direct patient care and assist physicians under the direction of a Registered Nurse. They are also responsible for general office duties including scheduling, managing supplies, and handling referrals.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school for LPNs or Medical Assistants and hold a current Ohio LPN license or MA certification. A BLS certification is required, and previous hospital experience is preferred.
A Licensed Practical Nurse/MA performs a wide variety of activities, as directed by the Registered Nurse. Responsible for general office duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, referrals, ordering supplies, calling in prescriptions, etc. Assists physicians in providing direct patient care. This position is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing practice for managing supplies and equipment with the direction of the RN in charge, and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.
The LPN candidate must be a graduate of accredited school for Licensed Practical Nurses with current Ohio LPN license. Medical assistants must have a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred qualification of graduate from an accredited school for Medical Assistants or proof of certification as a Medical Assistant. BLS certification required. Previous experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant in a hospital setting preferred.
