The Physician Assistant will perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and provide patient education within an orthopedic clinic setting. They are also responsible for prescribing medications, coordinating the healthcare team, and managing diagnostic follow-up studies.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a Master of Science in Nursing and be a licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Wyoming. Required credentials include ANCC or ACNP board certification, DEA registration, and Basic Life Support certification.

E s s e n t i a l f u n c t i o n s
Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within scope of practice.
Provides education to patients according to their needs.
Coordinates healthcare team and delegates appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel.
Writes prescriptions for medication, blood products based upon laboratory results, routine diagnostic and follow up studies, therapeutic measures, and post discharge care in accordance with written practice protocols.
Other duties as assigned.
E d u c a t i o n
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited program required.
E x p e r i e n c e
One to three (1-3) years of experience directly related to position and responsibilities preferred.
C r e d e n t i a l s
Must have a current, valid Registered Nurse license/Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Wyoming and must be in good standing with the Wyoming State Board of Nursing.
Must have Board certification from ANCC or ACNP
Must have a current, valid Wyoming Controlled Substance Registration and must be in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy.
Must have a current, valid DEA Registration, and must be in good standing with the DEA.
Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS), or obtain within 60 days of hire and must maintain credential throughout employment with IMH.
