Provide direct resident care with a focus on geriatrics and administer medications under the direction of a licensed nurse. Implement resident care plans and engage residents through specialized interactive techniques.
Requires a high school diploma or GED, Certified Nursing Assistant certification, and completion of a TMA course or LPN/RN medication administration class. Candidates must also hold CPR certification and possess basic computer skills.

This position exists for the purpose of providing not only direct resident care with a strong emphasis on geriatrics, but also to administer medications in cooperation with and under the direction of a licensed nurse. Employees will be able to utilize and interpret the resident plan of care, which includes short- and long-term goals. Employees will possess strong communication skills and a strong teamwork approach, which serves to enhance resident care, safety and dignity.
High school/GED/equivalent. Certified Nursing Assistant. TMA course or successfully completed LPN/RN course medication administration class. See competency list. CPR Certification. Basic computer skills. Word. Patient information database (Cerner, EMR, American Data).
Long term care experience desired.
