They also facilitate structured activities, maintain safety standards, and accurately document participant progress and behavioral data.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and have the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring participants. Preferred qualifications include one year of experience in disability services, as well as CNA, RBT, or CPR/First Aid certifications.

Program Directors / Clinical & Nursing Leadership 🌟 Position Overview The Direct Support Professional (DSP) – PRN Floater is a highly adaptable, mission-driven team member who provides coverage and support across multiple departments including Day Habilitation (Meaningful Day), Medical Day, and Youth Autism Services (YAS). The PRN Floater ensures continuity of care, maintains program quality, and supports staffing needs organization-wide. 🔄 Why a Floater Role Matters As a PRN Floater, you are the bridge that keeps programs running smoothly. You step in where needed, bring consistency during staff absences, and help maintain participant stability and engagement across departments. 💼 Core Responsibilities (All Departments) Provide person-centered direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), and care protocols. Assist with personal care needs, mobility, feeding, and hygiene as required. Facilitate structured activities, life skills training, and community integration. Accurately complete daily documentation and data collection. Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Communicate professionally with families, supervisors, nurses, clinicians, and team members. Adhere to all regulatory, compliance, and safety standards. 🧠 Department-Specific Responsibilities Meaningful Day (Day Habilitation) Lead and support vocational, life skills, and social development activities. Encourage independence and community participation. Support daily routines and goal progression. Medical Day Assist nursing staff with delegated tasks (per certification and training). Monitor participant health and report changes immediately. Provide hands-on support for individuals with complex medical needs. Maintain infection control and safety protocols. Youth Autism Services (YAS) Implement behavior intervention strategies under supervision. Support structured programming for youth with autism. Utilize positive behavior supports and de-escalation techniques. Collect behavioral data accurately and consistently. 🧩 Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred. CNA certification preferred for Medical Day. RBT or behavior experience preferred for YAS. CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain). Ability to lift, transfer, and physically assist participants as needed. Valid driver's license (if supporting community outings).
