Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist in dermatologic exams and procedures (e.g., skin checks, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, Mohs surgery prep).
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in the patient chart in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Track pathology, lab, and biopsy results and ensure timely provider review and follow-up.
• Contact patients with test results (under supervision, in accordance with the scope of practice and office protocol).
• Address patient concerns and follow up on calls or redirect messages to the appropriate provider.
• Administering medications (with some restrictions).
• Performing wound care, dressing changes, and other procedural support as needed.
• Collecting samples.
• Work as assigned under the direction of in-office providers.
• Informing patients of positive results.
• Drawing up Syringes.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Skills and Qualifications:
• Graduate of LPN school program
• Current licensure as LPN in the state of New York
• Knowledge of medical practice and diligence in assisting with patient care.
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments needed to administer patient care.
