The Licensed Practical Nurse assists in the delivery of quality healthcare by exercising sound nursing judgment and following established standards. They actively participate as a member of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and engage with families and caregivers.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing and hold a Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License. Additionally, they must meet American Heart Association standards for Basic Life Support and possess knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines.
Assists in the delivery of quality healthcare by exercising sound nursing judgment in accordance with recognized healthcare techniques, procedures and established standards and administrative policies. Actively participates as a member of the healthcare team to engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of patient care.
1. Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
1. One year nursing experience preferred.
1. Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License. 2. Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
Fast paced, stressful, high traffic medical office. May be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, bodily fluids and other conditions common to a clinic environment. May require working irregular hours. May require travel to other offices.
Requires full range body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. May require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
