Performs diagnostic mammography examinations while adhering to ACR guidelines and the ALARA radiation safety principle. Ensures proper patient positioning and equipment operation to maintain high-quality imaging and patient comfort.
Requires completion of an ARRT accredited radiology program and a Florida State license. Candidates must be ARRT certified in mammography or obtain certification within three months of employment.
Required Education and Experience - Satisfactory completion of ARRT accredited radiology program. Florida State license from the Department of Health. ARRT certified mammographer with digital/tomosynthesis experience or complete within 3 months of employment. Basic knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures involved with the operation of mammography equipment use; human anatomy and proper positioning of patients to secure desired images; methods used in processing images. CPR certified or certification required within 3 months of employment.
