The Activity Director plans and implements patient activities to encourage self-care and psychosocial functioning. They are responsible for managing patient health information within the skilled nursing unit.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, a Certified Activity Director course completion, and BCLS certification. The role requires the physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Description The Activity Director is responsible for the planning and implementation of activities for patients in the HB/SNF to encourage self-care, resumption of normal activities, and maintenance of an optimal level of psychosocial functioning.
Has full access to patient health information.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of a Certified Activity Director Course.
Certification in BCLS.
Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
