Responsible for direct patient care, including the evaluation and treatment of cognitive linguistic, communication, swallowing, and voice disorders. The role involves formulating comprehensive treatment programs and documenting patient progress according to regulatory standards.
Requires a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and a current NYS Speech Pathologist license. Candidates must have completed their Clinical Fellowship year and hold certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Formulate comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders. Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate). Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations. Complete all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards. Participate in initiatives that may include brainstorming or other activities to assist in improving quality or care, productivity, policies and standards. What you will need: Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration Must have completed Clinical Fellowship year Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association Pay Range: $37.60-$47.60 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
