The specialist evaluates physician documentation to ensure accurate representation of patient severity of illness and risk of mortality. They also provide education and training to clinical staff regarding documentation standards and regulatory changes.
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience in a hospital setting and hold a relevant license in PT, OT, SLP, or RN. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, along with strong critical thinking and communication skills.
