The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs laboratory tests on patient specimens to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. They also maintain quality control records, instruct staff, and participate in research and development activities.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related science and possess at least one year of relevant experience. Certification or eligibility for board certification by ASCP, AMT, NCA, or an equivalent body is required.
