The Surgical Tech III is responsible for maintaining a sterile surgical field and efficiently passing instruments to surgeons during procedures. They also serve as a technical subject matter expert, provide training, and assist in workflow process improvements.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a surgical technology training program. A minimum of four years of surgical tech experience is required, or two years of experience combined with a CST certification.
Demonstrates through clinical practice a clear understanding of sterile techniques and has a working knowledge of the specialized instrumentation and equipment required for a variety of specialty procedures. Demonstrates competency to operate all specialty instruments, supplies, and equipment to at least one tertiary specialty service.
Four(4) yearsurgical tech experience. (CST and two (2) years ofsurgical tech experience may substitute for the required experience).
