The Family Intervention Specialist performs outreach to parents involved with Child Welfare, providing screening, brief intervention, and referral services. They establish collaborative relationships with community partners and court systems to facilitate effective service coordination and treatment planning.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with four years of experience or a Master's degree with two years of experience in mental health or substance abuse. A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a level II background check and drug screen are mandatory.
Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.
Performs substance abuse and mental health outreach to parents who have Child Welfare involvement, engage substance using parents in support groups, screen, provide brief intervention and referral. Establish relationships with Child Protection Investigators, Child Welfare Case Managers, Court systems and community partners in order to remove barriers to services. Specialist’s duties include but are not limited to screening, assessment, individual/group intervention, planning. The Consultant is responsible for documenting in accordance with company standards.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification if client contact is part of job
